Ipod connection with CD changer

Hi, I have an in dash cd changer and want to connect my ipod up

I know that Dension do a CD changer retention kit for their gateway ipod kits, however i cant get ahold of one for love nor money!

Are there any other ways to do this? I've been hunting around for weeks, even got an fm modulator but the aerial connections are different and I cant be bothered changing them if I manage to find a better way to do it.

I'm sick of using an fm transmitter! still want my cd changer connected but if it comes to it i might resort to just having it unplugged

any help would be much appreciated, my apologies if this has already been asked, I didnt spot it

Hi there.

What is your HU? Is it Tuner list or Update list? If it is Update list (says on front of unit), you can get a seperate cable that plugs in the back. It clips with an existing connector (stalk controls I think). This lead has a small jack plug to be able to plug in your ipod. To activate it on the HU, press and hold the "expert" side of the control. Then scroll through the menu til it says AUX OFF. Change to AUX ON, job done! Then, when you plug in your ipod, if it doesn't change automatically (haven't seen what it does), use your sorce buttons to scroll to AUX, the same as you would for changing between cd/tuner, etc.

If you want one, I might be able to get you one. I think they're about £15! Can't remember exactly...

how do i tell what headunit i have? it doesnt say on it.
