air filter

ive brought a universal air filter, but cannot get it to fit on my megane mk2 1.4... i took the air box off and the hole is an oval shape insted of circular????? so the adapters wont fit! any ideas??

put it in the bin and buy a replacement k&n panel filter

i got mine off ebay, but a quick look on there and i cant see one for a 1.4 on there. Might be worth emailing k&n and checking. The 1.6 one might be the same. Also dont expect much difference in power from an air filter.

On the 1.9dci, where is the air filter?
I think mine needs changing but i cant see the box anywhere insight (not looked hard to be honest).

I get some strange shudders and car vibrates under hard acceleration in 1st and second so i'm assuming the air isnt gettting in as fast as it should; that or the fuel filter needs replacing.

on the dci the air filter is directly behind the battery and ecu. There are two screws in the top of it then the encloser pulled up and out bringing the filter with it. 5min job max

Found half a pheasant in the air filter, pretty sure that was the problem!

i found a branch of leaves in mine when i last checked it< cant be doing any good so ive been checkin and cleaning it every 2 weeks to keep it at its best
