Anyone got or have installed H7 H.I.D'S on their megane's??

Wanted to know how much you payed for the kit and how easy it was to install?? We all know how much of a pain in the a**e changing the bulbs can be! I got a 2007 1.5 dci 3 door dynamique.

OLD POST But....

Kits are pretty cheap now - no more than £50 and even less if you shop around (but don't go too cheap or the quality will be compromised).

On the 2007 car with projector lights, you can fit the standard H7 kit but I would recommend the H7R on the phase 1 meganes to avoid dazzling others.

I've got HID's fitted to the headlamps (H7) and fog lamps (H11), as well as led lights for the side lights and numberplate lights - didn't see the point of doing the high beams. I drove my mate's 2006 plate with standard lights and felt the lights were really poor in comparison to the HID's in mine - even though I felt the standard lights in my car (before the mod) were a lot better than the standard lights in my Alfa. There's no going back to standard lights for me!

PS, SMD lights 'haze' the inside of the headlamp (I think when the solder burns off or something) so I'm using http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4x-501-T10-W5W-LED-WHITE-XENON-Look-sidelight-bulbs-UK-/280631984179?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4156f84033 which last very well (compared to smd's and http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-Car-LED-501-T10-W5W-WHITE-XENON-Side-Light-Bulbs-UK-/380628989761?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item589f417741 which don't seem to like the heat and flicker and burn out.

PPS, HIDs / led light can fail the MOT....

I had them on my 1.9 dci but the kit i brought was faulty, they sort or flickered when you looked at them up against a wall and eventually the bulbs went so i have taken them out, to fit them i had to take the bumper off and remove light unit, i did them on my c2 before the megane. the are a great feature to the cars looks, i currently have boring yellow ones as my funds are running low :(
