Theres really not that much that can go wrong with them.
Its only a plastic housing and a bulb holder. (unless its an LED unit)
Just check the bulb connections are tight (and the bulb hasnt blown)
If you have a multi meter check its getting power.
Its not a part that needs 'replaced' any problem will be easly fixed.
Any other questions just ask.

ive had the strip out as i thought it could be the bulbs blown and needong changing but it has little led lights so i cnt just change tem would have to be a whole new strip. Ive not checked the connectors so will do that. Ive had to replace a brake light and number plate light since last week so cud hav just blown.

Re: High level brake light
Just go onto ebay and buy a 48 LED strip for around a pound.
Then cut to length.

Re: High level brake light
Mine doesn't work must be a fault or cheap part used ! I found then on ebay but there 35quid rip off only 3leds and bit of plastic.... Good idea with the strip I'm going to take mine off and glue the strip inside the current unit

black 3door megane 17" black powder coated renault alloys tints headunit and 12 edge sub....... Wants all smoothing hids
lowering sport interia sport frount bumper then I'm sorted:)

Re: High level brake light
When mine failed I just removed the trim and saw that the circuit board had become loose due to bad soldering. 10 minute fix.
Worth noting that it is not a requirement for the UK MOT test for it to work - provided both side brake lights are operational.

Silver 08 plate 5dr 1.5dci Dynamique 106 Tech Run (re-mapped)
Red 03 plate 5dr 1.9 Dynamique dci120
Best advice for Megane owners: sell it before it bankrupts you!

Thats handy to know, if its not a requirement i won't rush to get it replaced. Might just look around some scrapyards and see if i can locate one! Renault want £49.50 for it. I think not for a brake light!
The other 2 work so it isn't desperate!
