Check emissions message

Hi i recently disconected the egr valve and forgot to reconnect. The car ran smoothly and suddenly i now how the dash iluminations saying check emissions. Please help getting fustrated now....

i know that maybe is a stupid question but the egr is already connected? im just asking this because you could just not know which plug is it...

Yeah it is i was going to remove but needed to go somewere so forgot to reconect the wire and ended up with the message. Its all conected back up as it was found just getting slightly p***ed about it now.

Try disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes. Failing that, the MIL light can be reset for £30 (garage or your own ELM327 interface - ebay).

Best advice for Megane owners: sell it before it bankrupts you!

the car is running ok now? the error should disappear after 5 driving cycles. whats a driving cycle for Renault? i dont know...but 5 travels for at least 20 miles each should do that 5 driving cycles.
