Auto Wipers Fault

Hi again,

Got a new windscreen in the car and ever since the auto windscreen wipers dnt work i turn the stick to auto and the wipers wipe once and thats it, all i can do is turn it again and the wipers wipe continually at a higher temp than i want any suggestions?

I've heard in the past that there is a special gel required to refit the rear view mirror (and its integrated wiper sensor) to the windscreen. Failing to use the proper gel will probably result in the auto-wiper malfunction.

i had the same problem after having a new windscreen fitted,i bought a replacement sensor of fleebay which was a genuine renault part and the wipers still fail to work on auto! perhaps the system needs reset or there could be damage to the wiring?

I got a new windscreen fitted and soon found out the auto wipers didn't work.
Had a look at the sensor and found that it had not been fitted back in properly wasn't sitting against windscreen leaving a pocket of air. After reseating it against windscreen now working ok.

Hope this works for others too
