De Badging - Removing the Megane Boot Badge

Here's a step by step guide to tidying up her ass and safely removing the boot badge for a cleaner, crisper arse end :-)



Here's the standard boot badge looking tired & dirty!Image

Apply some gentle heat with a hairdryer for 15-20 seconds

Dental floss or some fishing line will do the trick now! Slide it behind the letters and see saw it down until they pop off!

Get to work with some hot water and some turtle wax! The adhesive comes off in seconds!

Give it a good polish with a light cutting polish, i chose Auto Glym Super Resin Polish, worked a treat!

Finally an all over wash and a polish with a regular turtle wax to protect her clean new butt! Job done!

To get rid of the sticky foam.. try AG bug and tar remover.. or neat petrol!

Nice guide, I've just done mine, I poured boiling water over it tho, find that heats the car and then more of the sticky stuff comes off with the letters..
Still not polished mine, I just have an outline of MEGANE!lol

although I was 'forced' to de badge as the boots been resprayed.. due to some little scroat keying it!...
but never-the-less looks better de badged...although it just cost me a houndred squid to get it de badged with a respray!!

Welcome to the club! It's my personal mission to ensure there's not a Megane with a sad looking rear end left in the UK! It you see one, get your floss and polish out and do it a favour! :D

i have just joined the club too lol, i used hot water and some string to get behind the letters, took about 2 mins, easy and looks miles better, thanks...
de badged 55 Plate blue Megane, Alpine cd player,blue with white trim custom mats, blue & black rs seat covers.. how jelious are you lol..
