getting the egr valve out!!!

hello again people, i finally got round to servicing my dci 1.9 , thanks to all the input from people on here everything went swimmingly, except one thing, try as i might i couldnt get the egr valve out, i took the three bolts out and gave the valve itself a wiggle and it popped off leaving the rest of the valve in the manifold (if thats what it is), try as i might i couldnt get the rest of the valve out to clean.i really didnt want to get a hammer a chisel on it .

please help me out peolpe, anyone got and top tips on getting it out?

I've been there and done it. Arm yourself with a can of penetrating spray, a cold chisel and a hammer. Note: WD40 is not fit for this purpose. If you want more instructions ask.
