yes, you also get bigger gains from remapping a diesel than a petrol

Try evolutionchips.co.uk

If you are in the Midlands area (UK) phone this number: 07708 508273 and tell the guy I recommended you. He may well knock £80 off the standard price.

Best advice for Megane owners: sell it before it bankrupts you!

Don't pay £50 for a map - there is a guy on here whose car was rendered inoperable by a cheap outfit.

To be honest, I fitted a TDI-Tuning box on my 1.5 and its less than half the price of a remap, same stats and results. Plus doesnt take a genius to fit, plug and play, very easy to get to as well.

what make of box was it? i heard you can get them that over ride your ecu, and basically act as a remapped ecu, but then you can un-plug it and its back to normal..

i had a drake box2, was alright but as i only payed £75 for it, i seriously hope people who are paying £300 for remaps are getting better results!lol

So do you recommend a remap or tuning box?

I paid £80, includes a 3 year warrenty.

I recommend the tuning box because its so quick and easy to install, no messing about is needed with the car ECU, just plug and play.

I offered £80 and won it for that.

I researched into results and for the 1.5dci 80bhp they both give the same results.

1.5 dCi 82 after 103bhp
1.5 dCi 86 after 108bhp
1.5 dCi 101 after 126bhp
1.5 dCi 106 after 133bhp

1.5 dCi 106 after 133bhp

Everything sounds fine, but the TL4 gearbox is not made for more than 240 Nm... And warranty does not cover DMF or transmission. Very expensive joy...
