Hi, my front bumper has been smoothed off but I'm wanting a number plate back on the front, that's not on the grill below... So I've been looking at adhesive vinyl ones, anyone used these?
Any pictures?
Cheers, Joe

Also what was the fill process? A mass of filler or plastic welding?

Re: Vinyl/adhesive number plate
Right when I was fitting the bumper outright the lights in, fog lights, I put the newly painted bumper face down on a rug... There must have been pebbles or something on the rug so I scratched/ sort of fibres it just above the grill under the light so I'm thinking of getting some matte black vinyl and wrapping above the grill like this and then putting a vinyl numberplate on that...

Only neater than that, obviously..lol
What do you think

Re: Vinyl/adhesive number plate
Looks very tidy lady.
Dont do the Vinyl. There are no 'breaking' lines on the bumper any more. Would stick out like a sore thumb.
Either live with the scratch or get your wallet out and have it painted again...
On a side note, a freshly painted bumper wont be fully cured until about week after paint. So easly picks up hair line scratchs as you have found out. In an ideal world you shoul leave it for 5 days after paint.

Yeah I know, but these scratches I canny live with!lol there deep an fairly wide!lol I was well upset!lol but yeah it'd have to be fully resprayed, no chance of that atm...
N yeah I know about the curing, haven't driven it this week..
I am tempted by the vinyl, after all it'll come off if it looks funk!lol
