Installing Aux cable - need advice

Hi,

I have a Update List head unit and have read up about how to install an Aux cable alongside the existing CD Changer.
I've set head unit to expert and turned on Aux channel.
Have the necessary cable to plug into the back of the HU.

The problem I have is where to feed the cable to get out to the front of the car so my iPod can sit in the tray where the cup holders are.

I see that there is a panel of the dash right there that looks like it might be able to be removed, but I have no idea what is is - can anyone help me out?

Yeah that pulls out, probably best running the wire down there, otherwise run it do it comes out under the centre part slightly infront of the gear stick n if u use a retractable six extension cable it hides neatly under there where no one canbsee n u just pull it out when you want it n place it music player infront of the panel you asked if could be removed, if you pull up the gear surround then you will find all the other central part around there pulls off, giving access to where I suggested to put your aux wire,

This explanation isn't probably all that clear, I'll take some pics if you want?

take the tray under the cd player out. drill a hole in the back of it take the cable through that.

Problem solved.

He can't do that tho can he as he's got a cd changer, which would be there...

Also sorry I never got round to taking the pics, have you sorted it?

Yes I've managed to sort it thanks.
I put the cable down into the passenger footwell and pulled it round to near the gearstick.

I couldn't work out how to get it further down, to come out at the bottom.
There's a kind of tray near the cup holders that pulls off (i think it's where the computer can be connected to check out errors etc) but I don't know how to feed the cable down that far.

I think the main problem I had was that I couldn't get my 6 CD Changer out.

When the cables in the foot well did youbtake a panel off, if you bring the wire round to the bottom of where that bit that hides the connector for computer, below the centre console part with the gear stick and push the wire up, you should see it appear by the connector...

Did you manage to install an aux cable and retain full use of your CD changer? I'm looking for advice on how exactly to do this. Also, best parts such as cables iphone holders etc.
