electrical problems

hi the other day went out and started the car up to warm it up and all the dials were going round and back for about 5 mins, with no other electrics working, there was also a message saying, VERSION SOFT 9.05. since then the wipers have a mind off there own and so does the stereo. cheers for any info on what this could be.

How old is the car? Sounds like the ECU has gremlins. Might need Renault to flash the EPROM. Impossible to say without further info.

Someone with knowledge of the petrol models should comment.

I've never come across such a message as that. Personally, I'd phone the nearest Bosch garage or dealership and ask their service departments. It sounds like a CLIP computer job....
