Hi All,
Im new to this forum and this is my first post so appologies if I get something wrong here.
I've got a Megane Dynamique 1.6 that came with the standard CD and Radio and a 6 CD Changer system too (both fitted as separate units).
I am now interested to get a new stereo as the standard one is very basic and hasn't got the features I want.
So I'm asking for your advice on getting a new stereo according to my needs, which one you think its better or more suitable for the car I have.
Let me give some details of what I'm looking for:
My budget is maximum £230 but if there is something worth spending a bit more I might consider it.
I would like to have an all round system if possible with:
1. A decent Bluetooth for my mobile
2. DAB radio
3. USB and AUX ports for my iPod.
Having a look around I noticed the adaptors I need for the steering wheel control and the fascia that might need changing.
I've been told by Halfords specialist (yes I know I shouldn't) that the CD Changer will not be compatible with a new head unit so I might just have to remove it.
I even liked the idea of a Double DIN unit if that means I can keep both spaces in the car taken and don't leave 1 open to look weird.
Any suggestions welcome as I haven't got much knowledge of car stereos and what is worth getting.
Cheers,
Zee

Think you'll struggle to get a decent double din dab radio for less than £300 aerials are fairly expensive alone, unless you don't mind always having no signal, in which case you might as well buy a better radio without dab..

His lads thanks for your replies.
After looking around for stereos and DAB radios, I've decided to skip the DAB radio option.
I am looking to get the Kenwood KDC-BT50U (https://www.kenwood-electronics.co.uk/pr ... KDC-BT50U/).
Anyone used this one before?
What parts do I need to purchase in order to replace the factory default CD-Radio I have in my 2005 Megane?
I know I'll need the fascia for it, do I just need the plastic front or do I have to get the full kit with the metal box etc???
Also will I be able to still use the steering wheel controls and the display on the dashboard??
Cheers,
Zee
