Battery Terminal

Hi guys

HAd a problem with my megane this morning nothing was working when I got in the car wouldnt even display please insert card!!! anyway got a new battery which fitted myself but on the positive terminal the hooped connector wont fit tightly around the terminal itself on the negative one it fitted fine but not on the positive anthing I could use to "beef up" the terminal so the connector will tighten on it? btw car works fine now just bit bothered that ive got a lose connector on the positive.


Any help would be great thanks

If terminal really is oversize rather than stripped thread on securing bolt , I suggest a piece of lead flashing cut into an appropriate width/length is wrapped around terminal post .Job Done :-)
Nb lead flashing , NOT flashband which is of course aluminium :oops:
