GOODBYE MEGANE

Postby onlydiesels » Sun Dec 05, 2010 12:08 pm

got rid of the megane this morning, and although i`m well out of pocket i feel much better already and it`s only been gone 1 hour. on reflection it`s been the worst car i`ve owned despite being well cared for/maintained, and having spent in excess of 2k (excluding what i paid for it) on it in 3 years, mainly on parts alone,i just reached the end of my tether with it and made my mind up that it had to go. in no way am i slagging off anyone elses meg,as the forum says there are plenty of people on here who are happy with theirs, just that mine obviously was`nt a good one. funny thing is,i DID actually like the car :?
thanks to everyone who took time to help me with the problems i`ve had and good luck with your megs.

i`ve listed a few surplus bits in the for sale section.

Well, I've been with Subaru for the past few years but my new Skoda is due to arrive in mid Feb.

I've had both and liked them but have you not thought of having a look at the Fabia? It's the same car a few grand cheaper, better specced and better built with a good dealer network?

I looked at the Seat Ibiza 1.6 tdi but bought a Clio 1.5dci sport tourer for extra space but pitifully slow engine

If the car's what you want then travelling that distance is worth it, let us see some pics when you get it.

Should be a cracking drive with that 1.9 engine under the bonnet :D
