focal install issues.......

Postby veilschris » Thu Sep 16, 2010 2:58 pm

hi guys,

just a quick one. I have recently had a set of focal components installed in the front and a set of focal 6x9's on the shelf of my meg. These replaced the standard tweets and a pair of alpines i had in previously and are all running off an alpine dva106r. Everything was fine until i decided to go for the upgrade and now my ipod audio is pretty much unlistenable , any ideas why this would be? the tweets crackle on most tracks even on volumes as low as 5 and the music (and yes i know its compressed more and will suffer quality loss) but this is worse than the standard units which surely cant be right?however cd audio is crisp and clear.....any ideas folks?

cheers

You haven't got some equaliser setting on on your iPod have you? If you have try turning it off and see if it helps.

If it doesn't, maybe a faulty cable??
