any help on bike rack

does anyone know if there is a bike rack that fits the Megane CC

Yeah, me too - want to know if we can use the one I use on my Alfa 159 Saloon on the CC - will the boot lid support 3 bikes - is it safe??

The only way I could fit a bike rack on my CC was to fit a towbar first then get a Thule 970 Xpress that clamps to the tow ball. Only supports 2 bikes though but pretty secure so far. Bought both off eBay.

I bought an adjustable one from Halfords years ago. It fits every car I've ever had including saloons, hatchbacks and my CC.
If the boots hydraulics were a bit stronger it could also let me fix my bikes on at ground level and then raise them off the floor.
I tried it with just the rack and it struggled a little to flip the boot lid back. I shan't be doing it again!

is similar to mine which is very old now I suppose.

It has to be adjustable to make the angle of the frame as acute as possible < . The lower bar sits on the top of the rear bumper and the top bar just in the mid point of the top of the boot lid. I attach the straps to the edges of the boot lid which is nice and wide.

I have a rack capable of carrying 2 bikes for my megane. Only used it once so far and hope to use it next summer but this was a standard rack from Halfords.

I can e-mail pics of the rack on the megane to anyone if required. The pictures basically show where each bit goes.
