right guys i need 2 replace the fuel filter on my megane 1.6 vvt
can any one tell me where it is and how i replace it cheers

petrol fuel filter is embedded into the fuel tank, it's not a normal servicable item.

i know its an odd thign to take out but is it where the fuel filter is because i need to replace it because i believe its clogged and making the car run funny because it clonkned out of petrol ?

then you have to replace the complete fuel pump...
from the technical PDF's (MR364MEGANE1.pdf in the sticky link above).
The fuel filter is located in the fuel tank; it is built into the « pump-sender-filter » assembly and cannot be removed.
WARNING The « pump-sender-filter » assembly must be replaced
if one of the components is faulty.The filter is intended to have a long service life.
Checking the fuel supply pressure and the pump delivery rate is the equivalent of running fault finding on the « pump-sender-filter » assembly.
the same doc (section 19C) has details of how to remove the pump (including the filter), basically it's under the rear seats.
