i personally got my 1.5dci remapped, i opted for a performance tune but an eco tune was avaliable as well. it was one of the best decisions that i made. i got a huge increase in bhp and torque and it has increased mpg as well (although not as much as if i got the eco tune) :D

Vibration when idling-2005 1.9dci Megane

Postby smallus » Tue Apr 06, 2010 7:12 pm

Hi everyone.. I have a 2005 1.9DCI Megane that (not all the time) shakes when idling. The guy that sold me the car said it was the flywheel balance..but surely it would do it all the time? It's not a major shake, but concerning all the same. Drives absolutely fine otherwise.. Any ideas?

The engine mounts are one option. I think the flywheel option is a dead end. Do the revs drop when it shakes? If so, you might want to clean the EGR and breather pipework. Just a thought, since the latter options are easy DIY and should be included in the service schedule.

Best advice for Megane owners: sell it before it bankrupts you!
