Looking for some advice on Alloys.
Hi Folks,
I'm going to be changing my megane in around 8 months time, I was going to be buying the 18" BBS CH alloys but I've decided to get my current set refurbished in a different colour instead. I currently have the Nervasport 17" alloys, My megane is a 3 door, black with body coloured bumpers.
I intend to get my back windows tinted, so my question is what colour would look good for the alloys. I thought black but a friend of mine suggested it would be too much black, C&C welcome!

Dave, is yours the black 1.9dci i see sometimes in bangor?
I would sugest against black aswell
maybe a shade of red or white.
try taking a picture of your car and photoshop the alloys with different colors

I would suggest you havea look at what Steve has done with his Nervasport's.
It is an Anthracite colour powder coat with a silver speckel in the clear coat.
Have a look at this link for a few pictures of his work.

Take into consideration its a '2004/2005?' 1.4... Good work all round.

Mine's a 1.6 petrol mate, I haven't had the car that far up the country... yet

here's my car at the moment, I'm having the windows done after christmas and there's no point me buying the bbs alloys as they'll set me back at least a grand.

Re: Looking for some advice on Alloys.
I have to say black on black does look good, alot of people with r26s, 225s etc go all black, wheels and windows and it looks smart as.

Re: Looking for some advice on Alloys.
I would suggest something along the lines as to what eddie was saying.
Maybe not the front badge but perhaps the 1.9 DCI writing in the door protector things and amybe even the Megane badge itself on the back.
small touches like that would make a big difference

i think the black on black will look really nice but on the other hand the anthracite colour powder coat with a silver speckel in the clear coat looks really nice think i might be doing this to my nervasport alloys.

Re: Looking for some advice on Alloys.
Just an update, with the sh1tty weather i managed to hit a curb and scratched my alloys. As i was getting them done anyway I thought now would be the time to make arrangements, the fella that does all my body work has quoted me £140, this is to have them done in black, I'm also having the car de-badged and having the car waxed, polished and a few things taken care of, swirl marks etc and a small dent on the bonnet. Seems quite reasonable for the price I think.

His name is Hector Hindman, he's got a workshop in victoria bridge just outside of sion mills in Co, Tyrone. I found him through a mutual friend. If you want his number drop me a PM, he's very easy to pay and would do a lot of work for the garages around the area.

Re: Looking for some advice on Alloys.
He does all aspects of bodywork mate, I've seen some of the work he's done on other cars. Especially ones that were damaged due to the bad roads over winter, theres another fella here locally who charges a fortune and Hector's work is every bit as good if not better.
Re: Looking for some advice on Alloys.
Dont get them just sprayed mate get them powder coated it lasts longer and looks better
