installing aftermaket hi fi

hi i have a megane 03 which only has a tape player in i have brought a new unit but for some reason in the power part of the iso i only have 4 pins but my lead for the car has 6 if that makes sense do i need to get a new iso adapter please help as it driving me mad sorry bout my spelling

Sounds as if you need a specific adapter for that radio unit. Usually goes off just brand. The Megane uses a standard ISO connection as far as I know.

EDIT: You will also want a fascia adapter as well If you don't want a big ugly gap around the stereo face.

thanks any idea where i can get them from its a Wharfedale ICS182 plus is it easy to install speakers in the rear as i dont seem to have sound from the back?

I'm not too familiar with Wharfedale stuff so can't be much help on where to look. Your best bet is too ring a local car audio shop, they will sort you out quick time.

For the rear speaker thing you mentioned that sounds strange. Is yours a 5 door? I thought all Meganes came with speakers in the back as well. :?

its 5 door but bog standerd model no aircon or anythink to be honest wish i dident go for that car

Hmmmm. Maybe it doesn't have rear speakers at all then. The holes for the speakers will probably still be there, and because it's an early model the wiring for the rear speakers should be there as well. It would be just a case of hooking some up.

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
