Vibe Slicks in front doors?

Postby TehSniper » Sun Nov 01, 2009 12:44 pm

i know the vibe slicks are thinner fitting but will they be thin enough to fit in to the front doors of the megane. i just dont wanna go out and buy them and they not fit due to the depth. any help will be apprciated. i just want somthing different from the pioneers that everyone seems to be fitting

got some lovly edge speakers in the front now, the colour matches the car and looks very nice, tiny bit lower peak than the pioneer but wherever i look i could not find the rms of the pioneer which matters most. lovely sound quality so much so i had to turn down the treble in the sytem im pretty happy with these. with edge been owned by vibe (which i think are the best audio company around, thats my opinion like it or not :P ) they are of very high quality

Good job lad,

Now all you need is a couple of 15" subs and crank the bass till the glass is about to shatter!

Heaven...

got my good old 12 inch JBL in there 1200 peak, 300 rms doing a pretty good job atm. i think the amp is a tiny bit big for this sub so i might upgrade when the time comes. running it with a nice 2000 watt 4 gauge wiring kit powering it. i just need to replace the rear pannel speakers. what sizing are the rears?

Sadly exactly the same as the front, 13cm!

I'm sure you can get some bigger ones in. The magnet on the back of some powerful speakers should hold it on the panelling no problem, so the fixing shouldnt be an issue.. more devising a plan to make the speakers stay still.

Did this on my mates focus and he got some 6x9's in and sounds sweeeeet.

what im thinking is the edge component speakers so i can get the tweeter and get that into the dash and replace tyhem and put the component ones into the back pannels. i was thinking the component ones might go into the front but its just the mounting depth that might be an issue but time will tell when i get the pennies for the componet speakers :) will keep you updated and get some pics together, outside of the car is bog standard as is the inside apart from speakers and head unit

There has to be a 'desent' gap between an earthed pannel and the speaker magent or Eddie Currents will pay havoc with your audio.
