Renault Service - Sussex (or Hampshire, Surrey)?

Hi there,

Any recommendations for a Renault Service in West Sussex (or surrounding counties: East Sussex, Hampshire, Surrey)?
I'm in two minds whether to go main dealer or independent.

I need to get a 45k mile service on my 2005 Renault Mégane Sport Tourer Privilège 1.9 dCi 120 early in 2010.
As 2010 is its 5th year, I'm might be cautious and get the timing belt & pulleys, plus accessory belt and pulleys changed. Any thoughts on this?

Hello, i have used SMC in the past. I always deal with a really nice service guy called Kyle Bonner, i believe that he is now at the Woking Branch. He did me a good price on my 2004 Scenic when it needed the cambelt service. Hope this helps, regards Damian.

Hi Scott,

I used Hemmings in Chichester with my last lease car and then for a year when I bought a Megane, they were fine. Now the car is out of warranty I'm going to Meakins and Sons in Chichester next week for a full service, based upon recommendations, as it is a much lower quote than the franchised dealer.

I got my Megane from SMC's now closed Peasmarsh (Guildford) branch which was very local for me. The service has been good for me - they seem to want to retain me as a customer, which is a refreshing change from many dealers who don't play the long game. I agreed a 15% discount for servicing when I got the car, which is nice!

I can confirm that Kyle did go to the Woking branch, and since I have a service there tomorrow, will see if he's still there.
