Somebody keyed my Meg last night! :'(

Some 'penisless' wonder keyed the nearside door and rear quarter last night on my one time pristine Meg!

Why? I don't know. It was parked on the street not harming anyone, and now it has £400-£500 worth of damage. FANTASTIC!

I hate the public sometimes!

My CC was keyed beginning of the year, from front wing over the roof down onto boot lid, luckily was able to polish it out, apart from faint one on boot lid....so know how you feel.

i had mine done too,while ago now though,both sides,every panel,front to back,right down to the primer

cost me £700 to get it sorted. other half still wonders why i park away from everyone else on car parks

I had mine done on the 1st Nov. My car too, was pristine, just been clayed and waxed. Parked in a residential street, not in anybody's way or blocking the pavement. The scum however, took offence and didnt just key it, it looks as though its been Stanley Knifed. Really fine, but very deep scrapes, down to the metalwork in most places, all the way along both sides. Starting at the leading edge of door, and finishing, handily, on the rear lights!!
I was livid to say the least.

Mine was reported to the police. Although nothing could be done. And tbh, i'd kinda rather they didnt do anything about it. Coz it would mean the little kids that were spotted doing mine, but couldnt be identified would only come back and do it again!

Get a rottweilerand tie it up to your wing mirror, should be a strong deterrent.

My passanger door was keyed when i bought it, not that bad but there none the less. The fella i bought it off and did give me an extra £200 off to go and get it fixed.. Alas i have never bothered i just convince myself it adds 'character' to her.

Mine has *cough* french style plates *cough* and de-badged/de-stickered rear.


edit: Just noticed your sig says you have a towbar, that's a pretty big sign it's you. Not many with one fitted.

yeh,i know hunt lane,used to work around there about 20 yrs ago,albeit on the other side near the springbank pub.
i`m just over near college ave,i`m quite lucky that i can now park offroad in front of my garage.

no real distinguishing marks,i had them all painted ,prob just the the towbar with a white cap,oh and mudflaps..

You ever dealt with Renault Oldham?

I repaired mine with a touch up pen. I plastered loads on so it was really proud of the other paint. After it had dried i got some of the finest sandpaper you can buy (cant remember the grade) and sanded it down level, this is really scary because it looks as tho your recking your paint work. Once it was pretty much level and smooth i got a machine polisher and gave it a good going over till it had disappeared. Now you can hardly see them at all. Really happy with the out come and saved hundreds in the process
