Will Spax lowering springs ruin the ride comfort?

Another thing to note:

Its probably best to buy a suspension kit rather than just springs, springs are cheap and good in the short term, not so much in the long term.

and to be honest, looking at this now, ive had a lot of problems with lowering it, cracked bumper, cracked the sump, stuck in a car park when i had the cupra r spliter on - had to rip it off, banged the cill going over a massive concrete speed bump, not to mention the underneath of the car, rear spring snapped, now i think the same side rear strut is knocking.

I honestly wouldnt waste money moddifing cars ever again. the money ive spent on mine, i could of bought an unreal car, if it wernt for the ban which i dont need to declare in 3month time, shame my insurance is up this week. oh well 25 and 5yr no claims and no ban for me next time round. happy times

I have actually not posted on this thread in ages. I got the springs but when I asked the insurance company they wouldn't let me put them on, so much for that then! I am going to spend it on a remap instead I think.

So if anyone wants a set of -45mm springs give us a shout.

why did you even bother telling the insurance company, some guy from the insurance company wouldnt have a clue if they were standard or lowered if you ever crashed it. and i dont think they could ever say "well you had your car lowered, thats why you crashed" where as if your going to remap it - although that is also something else that they wouldnt be able to notice (thats if you get a remap not a tunning box) but a remap without tellign them is more likely to invalidate your insurance if they did find out, which they shouldnt. Id just slap them on, i did notice a big improvement when i put mine on, but they've been on over 3yr and 60k+ so they have taken a beating down some bumpy b roads.

That's my thought too ulrich. Bright red springs are pretty obvious, Remaps are invisible

Anyone Know if 45mm Springs will be ok on a 2.0lt VVT? if so best place to buy them from

There is, Look in the direction of Ebach or Koni springs. Porbably the better on the market.

Common sense would spray them black -45 is the only decent mod for a standard megane as i find the handling numb on standard springs. Get them on!!
