Will the rear lights from a 08/09 meg fit straight onto my 04 225? will it have to be 225 lights or could i get them from any hatchback?

What i can remember reading in these very pages is that they fit but the plug/socket is different.

Yes thats correct i tried fitting my old lexus style fom my 55 plate onto my 57 when i got it and the lights go straight in but the connections plugs are different
i seem to remember there is a converter cable available though

Someone has covered this probably between February and May possibly in the Mods section. There was a picture of the wiring harness section required for the later lights including part number. I'm not sure it was a harness converter as why would Renault produce one? I think it was the section of harness for the later lights and an explanation as to which wires from the older car's harness (which was colour coded) would need to be spliced to the new light harness (which wasn't). I know the socket is a different shape and that at least one other member by-passed this expence by electing to solder separate spade connectors to the old wires and worked out which wire to fit to which terminal on the light.
