Hello,
I've got two issues with my Megane 225 (2004)
1. Both floor storage compartments are soaking. I've checked at the rear of both front wheel wells to ensure they're clear - which they are.I've also checked the scuttle panel drain holes are clear of any debris - which they both are (the top ones anyway, I guess there are further holes below to guide the water around). I've checked under the carpet and it seems to be a bit wet between the storage compartment and the black tubing which I guess is related to the A/C? Is it possible that the air condition condenstation run-off is blocked? That's behind the engine in the middle of the bulkhead isn't it?
2. Yesterday, rather stupidly, I let the battery drain. I was able to jump start it and drive it around for a bit to recharge it. However, every time I start the car now, with the doors closed, the door locks click as if they are trying to unlock, but already are. Is this possibly because the battery is still quite low and the doors are unlocked just incase the battery completely looses charge and is unable to unlock the doors with me inside - in other words, it's a safety feature?
Any help would be much appreciated, especially with regard to No.1.
Thanks,
Sam

Yes, the run off could be blocked. I don't however, know it's location.
Also check your door seals and around the door mounted speakers as this is where others have experienced similar water ingress.

You may need to reset the auto door locking function, it will tell you how to do this in the manual but from memory, hold the door lock button in for 5 seconds and you should either get the doors unlocking or locking and / or a confirmation beep.

Re: Two problems
Hello,
Thanks for the speedy reply.
I'll have a quick gander in my Haynes manual and see if it describes it's location. Once I've found it I'll check that out and tick it off my list of places to look.
I'll give the reset a go in a bit. Though, I spoke to K-Tec Racing this morning and they said that by holding it for 5 secs it disables it, not resets it?

Re: Two problems
iirc it's a toggle switch arrangement; it either turns it on or off depending of course where it is when you press it for 5 seconds
You can press it as many times as you like though, so you won't run out of chances

Re: Two problems
The door problem seems to have been sorted by holding the button in. I will double check later on to be totally sure though.
Regarding the wet floor boxes, investigations will continue!

Re: Two problems
i have had this problem this week. The air con was dripping from the black condenser unit.
I have fiddled with the tube on the inside (this is extremely difficult to do and am not really sure what if anything i did). And also located the drain under the car, cleared abit of stuff out and the problem seems to have been sorted. However i am not totally convinced as i don't seem to have done that much to solve it!!
I am checking after every use to make sure it is not leaking again.
When checking from the inside, fiddling with the drain makes it leak a lot more. Does anyone know what this looks like? and what type of tubing it is? i would imagine removal of said unit would be a massive job!!
