Re: tourer boot lock
Can't speak for the tourer specifically but in the hatch, moisture is known to get into the switch - there have been a few instances on here. If you prise out the switch and disconnect it you will see that it is in two parts (the main body and the membrane part that you press). I opened it up (slowly, taking care not to lose the spring which might ping out) and noticed beads of moisture inside. Wiping it out was not good enough so I gently dried it out with a hair-dryer (or you could use the car's heater fan), reassembled and reconnected and it worked fine. In hindsight I should have smeared a bit of silicone sealant on the join before reassembling or even wrap the switch in a bit of clingfilm to prevent it happening again.
More recently a friend had a similar problem on her saloon and called me knowing I'd had issues with the boot. On the saloon the switch is part of a handle unlike the hatch where it is at the base of the hatch door. Anyway, her problem was the latch itself which has a small spring that had forced its way out of position inside the latch preventing the part that closes around the fixed part of the mechanism from springing back. It would therefore not open when closed or close when open.
I've no idea which system the Tourer uses but hopefully one of my experiences will help solve yours.

Re: tourer boot lock
sometimes happens on mine.
Open rear glass, close it, and the boot opens again.
basically, sometimes the boot glass works loose, making the car think it is open, and it won`t allow the boot open if the glass is open.
