Re: Brake Disc
You need to change both sets of discs and pads?
The cheapest place is probably a local motor factors. Many people on here have opted for "EBC Green Stuff" discs and pads and say they are an improvement over the OEM parts.
The rear discs should come with bearings and ABS rings already fitted.
Rough prices depending on where bought:
Front Discs - £50 - 70 each
Rear Discs - £60 - 90 each
Pads - £20 - 40 an axle set (4 pads)
They are all straight forward enough to change, although you may need a special tool to wind back the piston in the rear brake calipers.

Re: Brake Disc
sorry busternlouie but do NOT what ever you do got for EBC green stuff they are shite! go for any disks, preferably brembo. as for pads anything by mintex for ferodo (perferable the 2500 for road use but they arent cheap). The rear disks come with the wheel bearings built into them, so if you cant be bothered to press the bearings in (and i suspect you cant) you have to go with reno own which are roughly 120quid for the pair regardless of where you go for them.

Re: Brake Disc
I replaced mine with OEM discs and Ferodo pads, so I couldn't comment on how good the EBCs are, but it's the general consensus on here they are an improvement over the OEM parts.

It's not a hard job at all if you have access to reasonable tools. There are a couple of Torx screws but no special ones are needed. It's not recommended you re-use the old hub nuts at the rear. It is best to clamp the hose above the caliper and open the bleed screw when pushing back the piston to stop the reverse-flow of fluid inverting the master cylinder seals. Get yourself a Haynes Manual (Ref 4284 - 368). £20 from Halfords or perhaps a bit less on eBay.

Clamping the hose can damage it so i would recommend not to.

Re: Brake Disc
I must say I have rather poor experiences on EBC Greenstuff pads.
Performancewise they were OK on the Twingo, but the friction material parted company with the metal backing plates on all the four front pads, and they were no more than five years old!
Never happened to me with any other make of pads!
(I recently opted for genuine Bosch quality front pads made in India, which must be a promise of adventure!)
