starter motor
recently bought a 2005 225 renaultsport last week it would not start so i had it towed to renault cardiff, after inspection was told it was the starter motor given price of about 400 to fix,had a phone call today saying that to do it they would have to take the engine out to change it and it would cost me 13 hours labour resulting in 1300 pound, basically is this true or is the garage full of it?any help would be great

Re: starter motor
I aint no renault monkey, but i can see where the starter is on mine, and it looks like a fair bit has to come out to get to it.
