Sub power cable

Postby maxxm » Mon Feb 16, 2009 4:09 pm

I have Megane II, 2008.

I was wondering if any of you guys installed the power cable for sub in your meganes?!

Where can I pull it through? Any ideas, suggestions?!

Thanks in advance

From the front,

1) You need to remove the glove box ( see post in Mods section I think) where you will see a grommet through where the power cables etc come though the bulk head... This is where you shall feed the power cable from the battery. Connect to MAIN battery terminal not an auxiliary on the power splitter.

2) Run that wire down the LHS side of the car under the side plastic trim to the left of the passenger seat, it just clips off... continue until it reaches the rear seats where it can go under and into the boot.

3) Run the audio cable from the head unit down the OTHER side of the car using the same method (RHS).

4) Run the blue power on/off cable to the amp down the same side as the power cable from the battery (LHS)

Job done, half an hour tops.

Thank you Ulrich :D

I was awaiting some bashing, to look that up on the internet, which I was with no luck.
Simple explanation indeed ;)
I will do it asap, hopefully today.

Really thank you very much ;)

Im about to install my sub.

Is it worth taking the sides panels off in the back of a 3dr to hide the cable?
Im assuming it would take a while, but if i don't is their anyway i can lift the carpet to tuck it under or anything?
any ideas?
