Oil filter for 1.9DCI

I went to my local GSF to buy the oil filter. Their database pointed at LS309, which is different from the one recommended by Purflux. The danger is that it will fit, but its capacity is smaller. Took some time to locate the correct one. Please take a note of the correct filter to save time.

Renault part No: 8200-274-858 (written on the box and on the filter itself)

Absolutely correct Alex.. Origionally Renault fitted the smaller filter. However this was INCORRECT and the LS926 is the ONLY filter that must be used on the 1.9DCi

The things have changed since the original post. GSF no longer supply Purflux filters and Purflux has released the new filter for this application. Its size is exactly as the original LS926 and it still uses the zig-zag pleated element the best(?) in its class -- see the oil filter comparison page (update - the site is gone now):

I know things change with time, but I would like to know if this would be OK for a 1.9DCi, the previous post about this subject is a couple of years old.
