Re: Fitting Angel eyes
Does it have to be a main dealer or can any MOT station do it?
Will they require the bumper taking off as there is no room under the bonnet i can see to do the work or is it done through the hatch in the wheel arch?

Good job looks well, but i would change the orange indicator bulbs for the chrome alternative. Get rid of the fryed egg look.
I got mine from flebay for 2 pounds delivered.

Looks good mate but is there a way to prevent the light strip and 3 leds from coming on with the side lights as i'm not overly keen those?

Yes you can disconnect them they all wire up seperate so no need to use them but to be honest they do make a differance at night with them on it is a lot brighter.

Cheers mate, if i get some i will be fitting HIDs anyway so the additional output doesn't really matter.

Yea there are two different models of the same light.. one for regular bulbs one for HIDs.. the set for the HIDs have heat insulation, a glass lens as to plastic and have an auto level ( required by law for HIDs) on them like the orginal lights... i think these were about 150 and the ones i got with auto level are about 215 best price.

Re: Fitting Angel eyes
O one other thing.. I would change the 'eye brough' regular bulb for a w5w White LED... it means it is the same colour as the other 3 LEDs and is much brighter.
The angle eyes can also do with brighter LEDs IMO easly done also.

It seems to be a solid part of the light?
On the underside there are two large gromits. Pull them off and then you can pull out the light for the angle eye. They are two LEDs soldered on to a bit of board for each eye. Remove them and solder on some better quality LEDS. Quick job makes lots of differance. Although its something you need to do before you have the lights bolted into the car. I linked mine to a 12v source before instalation.. so i new they were dull.

Re: Fitting Angel eyes
What sort of Leds did you change them to did you have to put any resistores and would maplins stock the item?
Would i be able to do this through the hole in the wheel arch or is it a bumper off situation again?
Any pics buddy of the changed ones to see brightness.

Maplin would sell you the LEDS, resistors all ready there. Im afraid its a bumper off and lights out. Its something you would have to do at a work bench.
