Hi Everyone,
Hope you won't mind me posting in here, My name's David and I work in the eCommerce Department at Renault UK.
I wanted to let you know about a site we've just opened, http://www.renault24td.co.uk, where you can arrange a 24 hr test drive of the New Mégane Hatch.
Normally the site is for business users only but as members of a site dedicated to the Mégane II, I thought you'd be interested in trying out the new model.
You don't need to visit a dealer, as our partners at Avis will deliver a Mégane to a UK address of your choosing and collect it from you 24hrs later.
Thanks for reading.
Kind regards
David, Renault UK.

Do we know of anyone that has got a new one yet?
I don't take much notice but have to say i haven't even seen one on the road yet.

Re: 24HR Test Drive of New Megane
Hi Guys
I have done over a 1000 miles on the motorways since it came out and i have not seen one yet, or locally. but have driven the 1.5 dci and I liked it, the gear box was nicer than on my Mini. Think I will end up with one.

Re: 24HR Test Drive of New Megane
I have the 1.5 Dci and can say that the 1.5 Dci (106BHP) engine sits very nicely in the car and it is very torquey.
A little bit slow off the mark in 1st Gear but the car takes off no problem from 2nd Gear up. Overtook a Red Ferrari on the M8 today ( Well it was only doing 7O)
Hold sthe road really well round corners/bends and suspension is very good - not a rough ride at all. Having just done a 2 hour journey the seats are comfy. I did, however, notice a little surge at 2500 revs where car lost power for a split second then went off again like the clappers. Had a diesel QQ with the same Renault engine and it did the same - obviously a "feature" of that particular engine.
I love the engine. Fuel consumption 45 MPG (not so impressed) that was motorway driving!! Although to be fair most of my driving is town driving
LOVE ---
Style of the car
Autofolding Mirrors and dimming mirror and general ~Privilege spec
Power of the engine
Comfort
Suspension
12 V in back seat - Well done Renault no more trailing wires for my sons Nintendo DS
HATE
Fabric on seats. Pattern catches every single crumb or speck of dust going
Lack of space in rear footwells and also difficult for my elderly mum to get in the back.
Back seats dont fold flat
Bluetooth Reception exceptionally poor
Radio Reception poor (sound quality tinny - despite adjusting it on console)
Cupholders not practical at centre console - too quite for most cups/cans
Poor build Quality
Thats me
