New Stereo fitted...Side controls no longer working

Just had a JVC Stereo fitted by Halfords to my 57 Megane Extreme but the controls at the side of the steering wheel no longer work & the display in the middle of the dash no longer displays the radio information. Anyone know if this can be fixed??

probably. you just need to buy the steering wheel remote kit.
halfords will be able to sell it to you. surprised they didn't offer it as an extra add-on.

the display won't work though, just the steering wheel remote.

as ray said, To get the steering wheel controls to work u will need a Renault Audio Steering Control Interface, cost about £40 off ebay or approx £100 from the likes of halford, you will then need a brand paciffic lead (in your case a JVC one) that then connects this interface to you new radio. but this is model dependant also. ( weather or not the new radio is wired remote controll compatible) this lead cost approx £6.

theres no way to get the display working unless its a sony, but then again you will need the interface thats made for sony headunits as these do the steering wheel controll and display but cost more.

what model number is your new radio??? as it will be pointless if the unit doesnt take a wired JVC remote control

you need a 29-800 control box and 29-004 lead for phase 2 models
displays jvc on display and works side controls as usual
