Replace battery in card message on dash

Hi
Have had this message every time that I use the spare card key I have changed the battery twice in the Card but the message still appears on dash any thoughts on this !!!!!!

you need a new card - £170
i wouldn't bother until you get difficulty opening the doors or starting the car.

i assume you have tried the obvious and checked the contacts and the battery is in the correct way round

have you tried swapping the battereis from the key card not giving the message? maybe the batteries you have tried are both low on volts?
