cant help you with how it comes off but the one you're looking at wont work in the megane as it has lift and reverse and that gear knob isnt made for that.

My megane doesnt have lift and reverse. You just push it in.

Sorry didnt read the bit bout it being 5 speed.

lol my reverse is under 5th gear and just slots in , does anybody know how to get these things off with out braking it, if not ill have to try it down carcraft lol (that was a joke)

How come your 2.0vvt Dynamique doesnt have a 6 speed box where as mine does?

Yea sorry i take that back, mine does lift to go into reverse, I didnt really notice i was doing it untill i had this thread in mind.
However my girlfriend has a five speed and it doesnt require lifting.
Ill get my coat!
