1st Service 1.5dci 106

Postby cmsacrui » Tue Nov 11, 2008 9:40 am

HI,

I have a 57 plate 1.5 dci 106.

Rather than pay dealer prices for the first service (over £250)! for what I think is only an oil change and filter change, I am going to take it to an independant, thats quoted me £70.

My question is, can anybody confirm what the 1st service entails for my car?

Plus, apparently as long as the garage is VAT registered, and uses geniuine parts, my warranty is still valid. Can anybody vouch for this?

Its done 9k miles.

Thanks alot.

yes, that's accurate.

first service isn't much. replace the filters (air/oil/fuel) and possibly cabin filter. top up fluids. check brakes and tyres... a few other minor things.

if you do want it done by a franchise, check myrenault section of the Renault site and go "book a service", choose an alternative dealer near you and it should display the prices for servicing.

Double check that its the right time to service. My megane cc is also a 1.5dci butmy service intervals are 18 000 miles. and it is also a 57 reg.
