Does anyone know which way round the the pollen filter should be replaced in a Megane 2006.
The two sides appear different. One side smooth and shiny (this side has the Renault part no. stamped on it).
The other side is rough and is the side with the slits in the plastic.
I would normally compare with one being replaced but there was not one in it.

The filter will only go in one way.. The frame of the filter is designed to "break" at the splits so it looks like one of those toy plastic snakes..
You then feed the filter in section by section.. It will NOT go in if it is rigid..
