Well first of all this person thinks your sms language is barely readable....

A 100mm drop will look very 'Euro', but you're left with virtually no wheel travel thus it'll wreck your chassis in no time. Plus with the Mégane II, the more you drop the rear, the further forward the rear wheel seems to move in the wheelwell. Doesn't necessarily look good asymmetric like that.

I'd say a 60-70mm drop is just still acceptable in terms of wheel travel, provided you get a proper coilover kit (e.g. K&W or H&R) that's properly set up.

As for the dished wheels, I think such wheels on the Mégane in 17 or 18 inch look an inch or two smaller, 'thanks' to the massive wheelarches that tend to dwarf almost any wheel design. But choose your dished wheels wisely and get the tyres as close to the arches as possible (~60mm drop and well chosen wheel offsets), and you've got a real headturner. You'll want at least 8" wide wheels, I think 8.5" is ideal, although even 9" isn't too much if you're going for extra-wide 245 or 255mm tyres.

As you're from n. ireland like myself you've probly already noticed the euro style big time here. it seems like its hit the VW owners the most. The smooth euro look looks brilliant if done right. Not sure how it would look on a megane though. :conf

As the Finn said the arches are so big that you would still need a reasonable size wheel to fill them. And dished rims in 17 or 18 inch and 8 or 9 inches wide dont come cheap. . And to go anywhere near that low on our roads is asking for trouble. :no

I would fit some coilovers and and get rid of the badges, and team that with a nice set of wheels. Subtlety is the key

One other thing, I was in Ren Belfast today Boucher Road. They have for sale the service managers 2007 F1 230 in met black, it was priced at £7999 with 2000 miles. Was so tempted i took a quick spin... may go back tomorrow. Would be a second car couldn't give up my Sport Saloon, the bike fits in the boot! So what i was getting at was save your money and get the pocket rocket for all the price they are now giving the way things are going. :-(

It looks well if done right, doubt you could get sport bumpers smoothed and fitted, coil overs fitted and some deep dish euro rims all for 1500 like.

But check this out, lowered 100mm on 19s smoothed sport bumpers

Having put sport bumpers on mine and getting them smoothed would have thought the cheapest you'll get it all done for is around a grand, think it cost me about 800 but i picked some parts up for cheap, bearing in mind all the little bits you wouldnt think of needing, like if you get sport bumpers you'll need the exhaust, which needs an extra hanger and braket as its a twin pipe, a bodyshop might also have your eyes out for smoothing a bumper, take it to a few bodyshops, and if you do make sure they dont just fill the gaps full of bodge/filler, as it will sink and crack and look crap, it needs plastic welding to do it properly.

Then your looking at at least £700-800 for coilover + fitting and then at least 500-600 for some deep dish 18" which dont look massive in the arches, you can fit up to 20" in the megane wheel arches with no modification as long as you get right offset and depth wheel etc.

So realistically i would of thought your looking closer to 2.5k rather than 1.5k

It looks very well, but I wouldn’t have the front smoothed, if I’m driving a car that’s my pride and joy, I’m going to be proud to show the manufactures badge, those that built it 'for me'

Especially if its REN (the Steelers)!

I have only ever driven a Meggy, past my test in one, had four in six years and never a problem... I’ll probably call my first kid Megan. lol

You wont get both bumpers including all the grills etc for 430 mate believe me, if you buy the grills seperatly that will cost you over £100, you need to buy the front sport bumper in a pack from the renault dealers to get the undertray, and i think that costs about £350, then plus your rear and grills etc. unless your buying second hand or are getting some serious discounts believe me, not a chance you'll get it all done that cheap, and as for rims, if your buying second hand, i think mk4 astras and new minis have same pcd etc 4x100 with a 36-45ish offset i think is ok, dont quote me on that tho. and if you get 18" go no lower than a 40profile tyre, 45 would be best as 35's make the wheels look tiny.

And as i say theres little things to finish it all off, such as exhaust, exhaust hangers, sport side badges, spoiler, it will cost you more than you'd expect, ive spent a fortune doing things to mine, and believe me iv got everything done by mates, all prof jobs but it all adds up. £250bumpers + maybes another £100 for bits, £260 to paint, and smooth bumpers and bump strips, £500 wheels, £100 r26 exhaust. £125 spoiler + £50 painting fitting, £100lowering springs + £30 fitting. £60 for sport bump strip badges, then theres all the other little bits that iv had to buy and done that would probably total another few hundred quid, all that not included, the above is already up to over £1500 and thats not including expensive coilovers.

Im not being negative im just being realistic. And had i known what i know now i wouldnt have bothered spending all that money on a sh!ty megane. wished to god id of listened to my dad and just pocketed the money till i could afford a propa car. now im being negative haaha. understandable if you knew the problems iv had with my heap,
