Replacing near and offside drive shafts at 35000 miles

Postby mlb7171 » Sun Jul 20, 2008 8:15 pm

My Megane, c. 5 years old and at 35,000 miles, has been diagnosed as needing new near and offside drive shafts. Used mainly for town driving, and some long distance, I was surprised - this seems like quite a failure. And an expensive one too at c. £1400 for the job (renault dealer) including brake pads which have been corrupted with grease.
Would anyone comment on whether the failure seems reasonable, or should I complain to Renault?

Hello, i would be straight onto the Customer Services Dept. at Renault, they should last longer than that !! I presume it has a FRSH ? Regards Damian. :-)
