Does anyone know the darkest legal limit for every window except the front windscreen?

so its not much on front windows
but does not mention rears so i assume i can go as dark as i like
probably like that or vans would be illeagal

i'd say nothing on front windows really (as manufacturer glass is already slightly tinted).
rears you can go dark as you wish on.

Yeah as said above, rears as dark as you like, front two you shouldnt really be putting a tint on, as standard glass is tinted and it has been known that manufacturers standard windows have failed the police light test, but if you go for a light tint on the front and medium to dark on rears it would be pretty harsh if you got pulled, just so your aware my mate got pulled, having medium all round tints, and got made to pull the two front ones off at road side, but that was in middlesbrough and the police are right knobs round there.

The company who are doing mine seem to know what they are talking about. I was thinking of going really dark on the back 3 and having a slight tint to the front two windows. Fingers crossed I wont be getting pulled over and being asked to pull the tint off, thats out of order, I think I'd refuse to do it. Ive cleared it with my insurance now and booked it for sunday. Out of experience from those of you who have had their windows tinted how much do u think I should be paying for 5 windows??

somewhere from 175 to 250.

i advise against dark windows if you live in a rural area (with lack of streetlamps) as it's near impossible to reverse properly. if you're a urban dweller, it's not a problem though!
I used to have 5 tint on the back (5% light transmitted) in my old car ... but i've gone with 35's on the megane. dark enough for me but entirely upto you.
