Megane Coupe 2001 (warning light)

Hi guys. Can anyone please offer advice with this one as I dont know too much about car mechanics - I have a 2001 Renault Megane Coupe Dynamique and for the past couple of days it sounds like the engine isnt ticking over properly, the gear stick is vibrating alot more than normal and an orange warning light which looks like a teapot has come on on the dashboard. Any ideas on what could be wrong? Thanks a million.

orange teapot, thats your oil pressure warning lamp (small oil can) check your oil level and top up you are running the risk of damaging your engine .
If on checking your oil it is ok then it could be the oil pump or a faulty oil pressure sensor. But from your problems ie vibrating gearstick i would hazard a guess that you will be buying in the least some oil for your car.
