Recall Notice - Air Conditioning Compressor Meg 56

SWMBO has just had a recall notice for her 56 plate Tourer.
Quote: ' We have identified a potential for an immobilising breakdown caused by a blockage in the air conditioning compressor'
It's booked in to Wests Renault Cambridge next Tuesday. SWMBO is worried to drive the car now in case it stops. As the recall specifically mentions the air conditioning compressor, I've advised her to turn off the Air Con until it's looked at. Is that sensible or not?
Any Renault bods know anything about this?

yeh dont use the part until its fixed - just to be on the safe side.

Prob nothing to worry about - renault just airing on the side of caution
