hey guys when you clean the car do you clean the wipers as well, AA reckoned in n Ad a few years ago that to remove judder you can simply clean the blade with some vinegar on a cloth (normal malt will do) I use some screen wash myself, rub it till you get no more black on a clean cloth, and get that windscreen spotless

Good point. The blades of the wipers must be cleaned frequently in order to remove abrasive particles collected on them. More frequent cleaning is needed if the car is parked in a busy street. Special care should be taken with anti UV screens, which cannot be polished.

I do often clean my wipers but its normally a baby wipe, lol, so will try out the vinegar thing and hopefully should reduce it a bit. Its getting worse and it always seems to be raining latley so i have the duh duh duh up and is really hacking me off!

Well i cleaned by wipers the other night with some vinegar and they did nothing but make my wipers go streaky and still bounce, so i thought i would splash out and pop to tesco to buy some 'cheap' wipers and see if they worked.

At tesco some other wipers caught my eye, they were the bendy ones that were supposed to reduce noise and bouncing, and at £8 each i thought what the hell and got them.

Well it was raining yesterday as i was driving and touch wood they were perfect. No bounce, the only slight downside is as they dont have a long arm, the bit where you connect it to the wiper arms of the car sticks up a bit but i can live with that.

So hopefully im sorted but as it goes with meganes my heater started making noises again whilst i was driving yesterday so u get rid of one problem and replace it with another. grrrr!

So far, and from experience that's a lot, they've performed in total silence.

I will report back within a week, as given my experience this will be a total success.

Fingers crossed.

These wipers work folks!

After nearly 2 years of squeaking and judder - they are now silent.

It's like a new car again!
