new owner with 1 crazy window problem HELP!!!!

HI TECH GUYS,
i have the most wierd drivers side window problem with my 04 megane.
it wont come down upon inspection these are the things i know
the motor is fine removed regulater cog thingy, and turning fine however only one way!, when you disconnect it you can also manually push it down! but when you reconnect the electric window only operates going up. there is on jams etc regaulator cable ok. i've been reading on this site about a reset function what does this do and how do you do it! or is it the relay if so where are they located in the door? or could it be switch any known issues? other than this annoying episode mazing car!!!!!

Try the 2 window buttons in the up postion for 10 sec with lights off..that should reset if not could be control box mine went last year but replaced it all fine now...its on the side of motor..
