Exhaust blowing

My back box has started blowing. I have a 1.4 megane, do you know if i can just replace the back box?

the exhaust is put on in one piece at the factory
but any fast fit or motor factors will be able to do a back box

kwikfit replacement exhaust (for 1.6) was 2 piece section...middle and backbox..
they cut off the original at the appropriate point.
4yr old....37k miles and middle box was blowing...
i wasn't envisaging a new exhaust for a year or 2...don't renault make any components that will last anymore

Went to a garage and they said the same that i cant just replace the back box, i gotta have the middle done as well. they told me it would cost around £130 plus v.a.t Is this about right?

When i bought mine it was 13months old had 8500 on the clock and the exhaust went 2 days after i got it, i was shocked but the AA man wasn't!!
Needless to say it was replaced under warranty. Have to say the replacement is still on there 3years and 55k miles later. Touch wood

u can get the 1.6 backbox seperatly for definate. my car has a nice shiney back section and a rusty ass front section and i have piece of paper to back it up. was cheap as well about 80 quid fitted and that was from a renault garage. it was carried out just weekd before i bought my car so someone else kindly footed the bill
