MY BOOT KEEPS OPENING ON ITS OWN.
I GET IN THE CAR ,START IT UP AND THE BOOT WILL RELEASE???
VERY STRANGE!!!!
ANY IDEAS WHAT COULD CAUSE THIS PEOPLE????

Water in the boot switch
You have got water in the boot electric switch.
I just removed the rubber boot and a couple of screws removes the mechanism. Slip off the spade connector. You can dry it and clean it off. Pop it back in and problem solved.
