problem with boot

is it possible to unlock the boot if the car is running?.every time i want to get in the boot i have to use the key fob to unlock it.is this the only way of doing it?

on mine, I just press the central locking button next to the hazard lights whilst the engine is on? My car does not have the handsfree option (have to put the card into the slot to start it)

ive tried pressing the button inside the car to unlock everything but it still doesnt unlock the boot.can anyone help?
