megane no window washers,a/c or HRW???

Hi can anyone please help we have a renault megane 1.5 dci dynamique on a 54 plate.Today we noticed that we have no window washers front or back, no a/c or HRW and also radio keeps turning off?? when we turn engine off and open door normally radio shuts off etc but not any more!Can anyone help or give any advice please,thanks if you can...

Guess the fuse for the 12v cigarette lighter socket, to the left of the glovebox there is a flap, pull it down and check fuses. If you have used a rubbishy 12v socket recently, it was probably this which caused a short circuit. I believe those items are on the same fuse, directly or indirectly.

We cannot find the fuse for the cig lighter but the symbol is there??
it appears that there has never been a fuse there because there is no wires or electrical ends to take a fuse, but if we run a live to the cig lighter in front of the gearstick everything comes right!! any ideas please!!!!

Try the one marked as radio or possibly the general supply. It is one of the fuses in there so swap them out one at a time.

hi again had a word with hubby and he says he tried them all, symbol for cig lighter is there but no fuse ??? it must be somewhere rang renault up and they said cant tell you! .

GOOD NEWS it was the blue 15 amp one for the radio so all is well ,thanks to you all, now I need a radio code?

glad to hear the prob is sorted, for the radio code you need your servicing record book, one the dealer stamps after they have relieved you of large amounts of cash for a bit of oil. inside the front cover should be a sticker with key code, VIN etc and radio code, its four figures, then click on link below for how to input. (may have to be logged on as FAQ is not avail to non members)

if you do not have the service book or sticker missing (check other car documents that came with car) you will have to contact a renault dealer who probably for a price will be able to get it for you... good luck

WOW - I had a few issues starting recently with radio turning off randomly and not going off when leaving car, then washers all went off and also my parrot system breaking. Changed the 15a fuse for the radio and hey presto everything all fixed! hurah!

Just a message of thanks been searching for this fuse for 3 hours haha blew it when wiring in some interior lighting mods was on the verge of suicide when the symbology inside the fuse boxes (thats right i looked in the engine one to) had no indication on cigarette lighter! So thanks very much guys!

Guys, this thread was a life saver. I had a mobile phone charger break in the cigarette slot last night and on my way to work this morning I noticed the washers weren't working and the stereo was randomly shutting itself off. Thanks very much for this!
